Important Starting information:

You start with 100,000 euros. But those 100,000 Euros are a loan from the bank and need to be paid back. So be careful about how you spend that 100K...

Basic Information

Q. What is the 'server time'?

A. It is the time zone that the game takes place in. (U.S. Eastern Time)

Q. What happens during a reset?

A. Everything is, well, reset. Just like when you first started playing. No companies, you get 100K again, all the real-estate districts are set back to their starting positions, etc. Everyone starts all over again.

Q. How long are rounds?

A. However long Admin decides they will be. Usually 3-6 months.

INFO

Q. What is Info, or Information?

A. Information is basicly a measure of how much you have helped out the community. The players are ranked in the players list by most info to least info, so you want a lot of it if you want to win a round.

Q. How do I get Info?

A. You can get info two ways. 1) You raise the image of a district. You will get more than one info for this. 2) You raise the terrritory of a district.

Q. Should I raise image or raise land in a district to get info? Which is better?

A. Land. Land gives you more info per euro spent.

Q. What is the best district to get info in?

A. It depends. For every info you get, you must spend around 7,500 euros upgrading a territory. You need to look for the best ratio. Go with the lowest image land that gives you 1 info for raising the land by 1. Just be sure to always puch the 'calculate' button to make sure. Don't buy more than one info at a time; you lose money this way. It's cheaper to buy one at a time. It's just the way the game is programmed.

Q. I raised the territory by X number, but I still only got 1 info!

A. The game is programmed so that to get the best money spent to info gained ratio, you need to purchase one info at a time. Don't ask me why; I have no idea. If you raise the territory by 20, you may only get 16 infos. But if you raise the territory of the same city by one, 20 times over, you will get 20 infos.

Stock Market

*Note: You can only trade stock after you have survived the game for 7 days.

Raw Materials

Q. What are raw materials?

A. Raw materials are materials that you need to purchase for your company to produce products. No material, no product. (Such as a car needs steel, a TV needs plastic, etc.)

Q. What is the warehouse? Can I upgrade it?

A. The warehouse is where you store your raw materials until they are turned into a product. You can upgrade your warehouse so it'll hold more raw materials by entering the number in the box.

Q. Raw material Cost, what is it?

A. This is the cost of each material, indiviually. So if the price says $5, and you purchase 200 materials, thats 200 X $5 which equals $1,000 total cost. You can't buy more materials than what your warehouse can currently store.

Q. What is raw material daily purchase plan?

A. You key in how many materials to buy, and in which order, and it automatically purchases raw materials for you so you don't have to purchase them everyday. The purchase takes place between 0:30 A.M. server time and 1:00 A.M. server time.

Q. Do I have to order them 1-5?

A. Yes, or it will not work. If you order them all 1, for example, it will not work correctly. Or if you order them 1, 2, and leave the other 3 blank, it will not work either. You must order them 1-5.

Q. What causes the price of raw materials to go up or down?

A. It is calculated based on the demand of both the raw material and product.

Running an Enterprise

Q. Convert Enterprise to JSC. What does it do?

A. This converts your Enterprise company into a Joint Stock Company. The new JSC will have 5,000 shares and they will all belong to you.

Q. Do I need to have 20 info to convert an Enterprise?

A. No.

Q. How come it says there are 16 business fields, but I can only access 10 of them?

A. You are running an Enterprise company. Only Joint Stock Companies (JSC's) Can access the entire 16 fields.

Q. How come I can only hire assistants?

A. You have no learning. You need to go to the main menu->learning center and look at all the skills you can learn. You need to learn the skill that is associated with the business field that your business is in, or it will do you no good. You can haste the skill, but every time it doubles the energy that you use to learn that skill. Hasteing makes the skill 1 day faster to learn. These are the numbers of skills you need to learn to hire each type of employee:
  • Assistant: 1
  • Labourer: 3
  • Salesmen: 5
  • Manager: 8
  • Engineer: 12
  • Scientist: 16
As you can see, you need lots of skills to hire the best employees. Also, once you learn your first 10 skills, you will no longer be able to learn any more skills (in any field) until you get more info. It will tell you how much info you need to learn the next skill.

Q. What is "Encash" and "Contribute"?

A. "Encash" lets you take money from your company and put it into your personal account (Minus a 10% tax) so you can buy stocks, make a new company, or just leave it there for rent payment. "Contribute" lets you take money out of your personal account and put it into your company account so you can spend it on company-releated things. (Minus a 10% tax)

Q. What is "Veil taxes" option?

A. Veil Taxes lets you choose what percentage of your taxes you don't pay. But not paying taxes is illegial. So, for every % you veil, you have that same % of getting caught and fined. If you veil 20% taxes, you have a 20% chanch of getting caught. If you get caught, you have to pay a fine which is 10 times more than you happened to veil. The optimum veiling for most players is 3-5%, if they veil at all.

Q. Can I sell an enterprise?

A. Yes. Use the enterprise aquisition page.

Q. How do I shut Down an enterprise?

A. The game does not provide a 'button', so to say, that shuts down your enterprise. But you can do it manually by setting all salaries to 0, selling all land, and getting rid of all inventory. Or, you can dissouloute your company. This is not reversable. What this does is pay out the value of the company (Land, Materials, etc.) to you, and dissolve the company so it no longer exists.

Running a JSC

Q. It says I or another player has less than 20 information! ???

A. You, or one of the founders, has less than 20 info. All investors need at least 20 info to start a JSC. If you have less than 20 info, mail all other investrs and have them double check that they have at least 20 info. But don't just pick popular players to start it with unless they agreed to do so, they will most likely not invest and it annoys them. Post on forums to see if anyone is interested in starting a company with you.

Everyone must have 20 info during the JSC establishing process. So if you do not have enough info, you will not be allowed the start the JSC, and you can not invite the players who havent enough info either.

*Note: Every investor invited needs to invest at least 5% of the total required investment (Authorized Capitol).

Q. Authorized capitol by stocks. What is it?

A. Raise: Puts more stocks for your company on the market for you and others to buy. It will increase your share in that company, BUT ONLY IF YOU BUY THEM. If other players buy them, your share in the company goes down. Lower: Sells stocks of your company to the market. Puts up "Buy" offers on the stock market for you and others to sell. The investors sell their own shares in the company, making the company have less shares, thus increasing the value of each share. You also gain money by selling your shares, but only if you sell YOUR shares.

Q. Authorized capitol by Cash. What is it?

A. Raise: Lowers retained earnings and increases the base price of your company's stock. Lower: Raises retained earnings and lowers base price of your company's stock. You can only pay as many divendends (see below) as that are in your retained earnings.

Q. What are "Divendends"?

A. Same as Encash, takes money out of your JSC and puts it into your personal account. Except that instead of a 10% tax, there is a 15% tax. And it is evenly distrbuted among ALL shareholders depending on how much they own in the company. For example, if player A holds 73% and player B holds 27%, then when dividends are paid, player A will recieve 73% of the divendends and player B will recieve 27% of the dividends after taxes of 15% of the total amount of divendends paid.

Selling Companies

JSC- You sell all your stock on the market at the price you want. Someone may place a bid, in which you can accept, in turn selling those stocks. This is the safest way to sell, because it's only open to your shareholders and the biddee; no one else can sell it.

Enterprise - Use enterprise aquisition page.

Employees

Q. I set the max employees at X number, but there's none working!

A. Either 1) You forgot to set a salary for the workers. 2) The salary is not high enough for the workers, so they are going to other companies with higher salaries. To find the salary you should use, go to Statistics--->Job Pool and scroll down to your business field. The Avarage salary of each type of employee is listed there. That's what you should use. 3) You have no land for your company. No land=no workers. 4) The land you have is not suitable for your business field. Ex: If you are in the Pharmacy field, you have to buy land that is suitable for Pharmacy. To find this out, Go to Real Estate--->Districts and click on a district of your choice. It will list what business fields that land is good for. If it's not good for Pharmacy, then don't buy it and go on to another district.

Q. I have land, salaries are set at avarage, and land is suitable for my business field. How come I have my max employees set at X number, but only X number are working?

A. You need more land. All of your land is being used up. Click on the Human Resource tab. That shows how much of your space is being used up by your employees. Go to a district that is suitable for your business field and buy more land.

Q. When I switch business types, will I keep all my current employees?

A. No, technecially. Here's the explaination: You keep the Max Worker that you spent energy on, but lose the current workers after the First update 1 round (20min). Then you get the new workers in the field you moved to while keeping the Max worker slots. Whether you get them or not, and how fast you get the new workers, depends on how many are avaible, your salary, etc etc.

Courts

Q. Where are the courts?! Why can't I sue?!

A. You have to post a thread in the "Courts" section of the forum.

Q. I want to sue someone because They have big monoply. Should I?

A. No. That is nonsense. Nothing is stopping you from entering their field. They have done nothing wrong. There is no reason why you need to sue them. This will just make them mad at you.

Q. Someone bankrupted a company I invested in. Should I sue them?

A. Not yet. Do a little reasearch, gather a little evidence. If they bankrupted the company on purpose and did not inform you before they did it, then sue only for the money you lost and nothing more. If you didn't agree to bankrupt the company, and they did it anyway not giving anything to you in return, then you may also sue.

Q. I want to sue player #1. He is making it hard for me to move up the list.

A. NO!!! Again, this is nonsense. They worked hard to get #1 on that list. Again, they will just get mad at you.

Land

Q. If land is suitable for offices and X field, can I use that land for workforce and brainforce at the same time?

A. No. ie; if you buy 50 land suitable for offices and transport, logistics, you can hire 50 assistants Or 12 managers. The workforce and brainforce do not share the same land.

Q. I see all continents on the map. Will more than one be opened up?

A. Yes, in the future.

Q. What is the "Buy?" check box in the district detail page?

A. This is that so if you create more land, you can automatically purchase the land you create so no one else has a chance to buy it. Select the company you want to buy the land you make in the drop down box. If you do not check the box, the company you choose will not buy the land automatically.

Products

Q. How do I know what to set the prices and percentages at?

A. Check the Product Information under statictcs, and experiment some.

Q. What are the allocations?

A. The percentages at which how much of your work and sale force are aimed towards selling or producing that product.

Q. What is supply and demand?

A. Green is good; Red is bad; Yellow is in-between. Ok, green means there's a large demand for a product. You should sell that product at a higher price and people will still buy. Red means the opposite; There's a small demand for that product and many people won't buy. Yellow is, well, in-between.

Business Opourtinites

Q. What are they?

A. It's a way to make extra money.

Q. How do I get one?

A. Go to the Finincial/Accounting tab. Click on either "new" or "find" it it's available. Click accept, or find one in the list if you clicked find, and then press accept. You don't have to do anything, it just gives you money when it's finished.

Q. What do I have to do to finish it?

A. Nothing. It is all done automatically by the system. All you have to do is accept it.

Q. Why are some BO's un-selectable when I click "find"?

A. You do not have enough assistants to accept that BO. The better the BO, the more assistants you need working for your company.

Q. I can never get a good BO when I'm the Consignor. Why?

A. You need more assistants working for your company. The more assistants you have working, the better BO's you can accept.

Q. How many assistants do I need working to accept the best BO's?

A. 0-49: Level 1 BO's (Worst BO's)
50-99: Level 2 BO's
100+: Level 3 BO's (Best BO's)

Banking

Q. What are personal accounts and business accounts?

A. Personal accounts is the money in your personal account. Business acounts hold your money that's in your business(es).

Q. When do I recive interest and how much do I get?

A. You revieve interest once a day at the reset, and the intrest rate is 0.5%.

Q. Do I pay any taxes to get my money in or out of the account?

A. You have to pay 30 energy for depositing and withdrawing. There is no tax on the money you take in and out. If you deposit $300,000, your account will have a $300,000 balance.

Independence

Q. What is Independence?

A. Independence is where you can spend money and info on purchasing your own city!

Q. How do I make profit from my city?

A. Every company that buys land in your new city will pay rent to your personal account every time the CEO logs in. If the CEO does not log in all day, the rent will automatically be added to your personal account at midnight server time.

Also, each player that move their residence into your city will have to pay rent into your personal account. It works on the same criteria as above.

Q. Can I go independent with a JSC?

A. No, you have to go independent with an Enterprise.

Q. Do I have to go independent with 2,500 lands? Can I go more?

A. You can go independent with more lands. For example, if you wanted to, you could go independent with 3,000 lands instead of 2,500 lands. But the minimum is 2,500. Take in mine, though, that you will need more money in your personal account to cover the losses when your company sells the land back to the city (Read below).

Q. How do I go independent?

A. Your enterprise needs to own atleast 2,500 territories in one single district. Make sure you have 100 infos and tons of money in your personal account (1 million is recommended). Then go to Dashboard -> Facts & Statistics -> Districts -> Independent. Select your Enterprise from the drop down list. Then select the territory you want to become independent from. Hit Submit.

The lands will be transfered from the old city to the new city you just created (New lands will not be created). Your personal and business accounts will be halted for 40 minutes to allow you to do the neccesary adjustments so you don't go bankrupt.

Your enterprise (not you) now owns 100% of your new city. But, the taxes will be enormous on that (We're talking $500,000 every 20 minutes). So, you need to sell 80-85% back to the new city. This is where the tricky part comes in.

Since your player owns the city, and your company owns the land in the city, when the company sells land back to the city, the city pays them for it. And, since you are the city, you have to pay the company. Which means, any time a company sells land in your city, the money in your personal account will drop, and the money in the company that sold the land will increase. Make sense?

So, this is why you need the 1 million dollars. When you sell 80-85% back to the city, the money in your company will increase, and the money in your personal account will drop (Because the city is paying the company for selling them the land). You probally won't use all 1 million, but it's definatly worth taking 1 million out just incase (It depends on the image of the new city, how many lands you created, etc.)
